Configuring Windows 2000 for dialup

Use the steps below to setup your computer to dial Maxnet on Windows 2000

Step 1
Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Network and Dial-up Connections

Step 2
Double Click Make new Connection



Step 3

• Select Dial-up to the Internet
• Click Next

Step 4

• Select I connect through a phone line and a modem
• Click Next

Step 5

• Area code: Leave blank
• Telephone number: 0867 00006
• Country/Region: New Zealand (64)
• Untick Use area code and dialing rules

Step 6

• Type the User Name as your username ie. bobpond@maxnet NOTE: Netguardian users replace @maxnet with @ng
• Click Next

Step 7

• Type the Connection Name as Maxnet
• Click Next

Step 8

• If you would like to setup an E-mail Account and do not already have one setup, select Yes and click here for more instructions
• If you already have e-mail setup, select No
• Click Next

Step 9
Click Finish
