Maxnet offers a comprehensive range of wholesale services for ISPs, including colocation (telehousing) facilities for hosting ISP's servers.
Some of our customers use our services as a stepping stone to build their customer base with minimum costs. They tend to start with virtual services and progress to wholesale before building their own network.
Some of our more established ISP customers though, prefer to rely on our carrier grade network and supporting infrastructure. They purchase colocation space for their own core servers, access lines or ports and bandwidth on an ongoing basis.
For a wholesaler, internet uptime is critical. Our colocation facilities are specifically designed to provide you with a secure and safe hosting environment equipped to enable your server to remain accessible to the internet 24x7.
Our purpose built colocation facility is designed to eliminate network fail-points and provide you with a contingency in the event of equipment failure/interruption to service. We are able to not only provide you with a high degree of bandwidth and network redundancy, including dual transformer power feeds, but we also back up our service with comprehensive SLA’s.
- Added redundancy and security of service through Multi-homing - we balance the load across three upstream providers so that if one supplier has an outage, we have two other suppliers to provide continuity of service
- Avoidance of any possible congestion on the network – we maintain excess bandwidth headroom over and above our customers maximum utilisation
- Protection from voltage drops, spikes or frequency variations through our Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) that isolate the load from the AC mains supply
- Greater redundancy through Dual Transformer Power Feeds sourced from two separate transformers in the local power grid. Both feeds are 3 phase
- Protection from fire risk – our Internet Data Centre has a Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) fire detection system with a three-stage alarm
- Physical Server Security - our Internet Data Centre has under-floor air conditioning featuring humidity controlled Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) based in two fully redundant externally situated process water cooler systems. This ensures your servers are kept at optimal temperatures and humidity is maintained at 65% as per best practice
